FBC Weslaco was placed on earth to take people out of hell and into fulfillment. If you are not sure exactly what that means, click here. If you would like a more detailed look at our ministry, click here.
Our Beliefs
FBC Weslaco is a part of the Body of Christ dedicated to serving our Lord Jesus Christ as directed through his Holy Word – the Bible. As evangelical Christians, we believe in the doctrines of solo scriptoria (no authority other than scripture) and the “priesthood of the believer” (every individual is personally responsible for correctly interpreting and obeying the Bible). What to Expect
At FBC Weslaco, you will see people from all over the United States, Canada and Mexico – and several other foreign countries as well. You will worship with Black, Anglo and Latino members and guests. You will find these people come from a variety of faith backgrounds from Catholic to Pentecostal to Baptist. And we like it that way.
We’re relaxed. Come in jeans or khakis; or if you prefer, come in a suit or dress. You’ll find a variety of styles in our church.

Our History
The City of Weslaco was founded in 1919. FBC Weslaco was chartered about 18 months later during a community revival. Since then, it has been the largest and most active protestant congregation in the city exerting Christian leadership throughout our region.
Presently, we are a body of about 300 families with a year-round attendance of about 550 persons. Our growth rate has averaged about six percent per year over the past decade.
FBC Weslaco employs more than two dozen individuals ranging from pastors, to administrators, to daycare workers. They are all highly motivated and effective individuals from whom we expect and receive the very best. You can find out more about some of these persons by clicking here.
