Our Lord sent us to minister to the people of Galaena, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

Galeana is a small village in the mountains about 120 miles from Monterrey. In this part of Mexico, they measure distances in time rather than miles (or kilometers). As you look at the main road into the town, you can see why. Therefore, to be more precise, Galeana is really about two and a half hours south of Monterrey.

Nineteen members from our church made the trip. We preached at five different missions. All of them were like the one you see here.

We began by handing out clothes and shoes.

This lady is checking out one of the more than 280 pairs of new and used shoes we gave away.

Like everywhere else, we always take care of the children. Here, you see some of our youth ministering to the village’s youngsters.

We gave each child some new crayons and some Bible stories to color. This was lots of fun, even if the best you had for a coloring surface was the benches people sat on in the church.

The children also got to make bracelets and necklaces from beads which spelled out the story of salvation.

The children were so proud of what they made.

We also shared the story of Jesus with the adults.

Our Missions Pastor, Guillermo Lopez, let both the adults and children in prayer.

These persons are asking Jesus to be their Lord and Savior. 20 people decided to dedicate their lives to Christ.
