Our Children’s Choir put on an outstanding Christmas Program!
This is the main choir. They enchanted the audience for the entire 45 minutes. They were that good!
Three stars narrated much of the story – through song. Bobbie Fleischmann (center) also helped stage the program and direct the children through rehearsals.
The children told the story of Christmas from the perspective of the three kings – with a slightly different twist.
These kings are the masters of pop music. We have King Jamestonia (Brown) on the left– the master of soul. King Garthonia (Brooks) – the master of country – in the cowboy hat.
And, of course, there was Elvistonia – the king of rock and roll.
The kings made their way to Bethlehem to meet Mary and Joseph – and worship the Baby Jesus.
Finally, we were reminded that Jesus is the reason for Christmas. He is our Risen Lord and our Savior.
Connie Dargel directed the performance. She also spent several hundred hours rehearsing with the children, building the sets and making costumes – with tons of assistance from Celia Vela and Bobbie Fleischmann – among others.
We extend our congratulations and appreciation all the children and adults for their hard work and the quality of their production.
How you can help
We are going to stage another musical this Christmas. If you know of a talented child (they don’t have to be a church member), or if you would like to volunteer your talents (and you don’t have to be a member either), you should notify our church offices, or you can contact our Music Pastor, Steve Chamblin, by clicking here.
